2026 GBC Bank Shred Day and Recycle Hancock County Collection Event
Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home—it’s also the perfect time to safely dispose of old documents and household items.
GBC Bank is proud to once again host our annual Community Shred Day, and this year we’re partnering with Recycle Hancock County to offer even more disposal and recycling opportunities for our community.

Date: Saturday, April 25
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Park Chapel Christian Church | 1176 E. McKenzie Rd., Greenfield
This joint event makes it easy for residents to protect their personal information while responsibly disposing of items that can’t be placed in normal household trash.

Free Document Shredding – Courtesy of GBC Bank
GBC Bank will provide free document shredding for community members.
Shredding sensitive documents is one of the best ways to help prevent identity theft. Bring your old paperwork, tax documents, or other confidential materials and have them securely destroyed on-site.
Our partners with Stericycle will be on hand to help guide you through the process and make it quick and convenient.
Recycling & Disposal Collection Event – Courtesy of Recycle Hancock County
At the same time and location, Recycle Hancock County will host a paid recycling and disposal collection event for items that require special handling for Hancock County residents.
Accepted materials include:
- Hazardous waste | $5 per carload
- Electronics such as TVs, monitors, and miscellaneous electronics | $5 per carload of any electronics (not including TVs); $5 for TVs smaller than 32" and computer monitors; $10 per TV 32" and larger; $20 per Projection Screen TV
- Latex paint | $1/quart; $2/gallon; $5/5-gallon
- Tires | $4.50 - $5.00
